Ars Sacra I, 2005

For these Easter days we will be posting some sketches from an open architecture competition that took place in 2005 in Seville. The contest proposed a building or series of buildings that would gather and host all the different sacred arts ateliers. The winner was an absolute wonderful design by some friends architects whose talent I consider outstanding. Our idea for the proposal was a debate around the traditional courtyard space, the much-needed shadows under the South white light, and the recurrent strategies of rhythm and repetition.
